Violence continues in Sinaloa: two killed, one abducted in Culiacán; armed attacks leave 5 injured

Violence has continued to plague the state of Sinaloa, Mexico, with reports of two homicides and one abduction across the cities of Culiacán and Mazatlán. In Culiacán, a woman identified as Paola “N” was found dead from gunshot wounds near Technical Secondary School No. 75 in the Barrancos neighborhood.

Meanwhile, in the coastal city of Mazatlán, a young man was fatally shot by two individuals on a motorcycle in the city center. Authorities responded to the scene, but the victim had already succumbed to his injuries. In a separate incident in Mazatlán, an armed group intercepted a man near a convenience store by the Mexico-Nogales highway, forcing him into a vehicle before fleeing.

Further compounding the violence, five men were injured in two separate armed assaults in different parts of Mazatlán. Three of the injured were inside a home in the Loma de Rodrigara neighborhood when they were attacked. Emergency services transported the wounded to local hospitals.
