Violence shakes Morelos; bar attacks in Cuernavaca and Tetecala leave four dead, five injured

Violence erupted in the Mexican state of Morelos over the weekend, with two separate armed assaults on bars resulting in four deaths and five injuries. In Cuernavaca, the state capital, a shooting at a nightclub in the Altavista neighborhood left two men dead and five others wounded. The incident drew criticism for the municipal police, who initially reported no victims at the scene. Seven men with gunshot wounds later arrived at the General Hospital "Dr. José G. Parres," where the fatalities were confirmed. The victims reportedly refused to cooperate with authorities, hindering the investigation.

Meanwhile, in the southern municipality of Tetecala, two men were killed in a shooting at a bar in the Colonia Centro on Saturday night. Residents alerted emergency services after hearing intense gunfire. Police found two men with multiple gunshot wounds. One died at the scene, and the other succumbed to his injuries en route to a hospital. Forensic teams secured the area, collecting shell casings and evidence to aid the state prosecutor's office in its investigation.
