Violent Crash in Lima Injures Three Women; Car Plunges into Restaurant

A violent collision between two vehicles in Cercado de Lima, Peru, left three women injured early Saturday morning. The crash occurred around 6:45 a.m. at the intersection of Zepita and Cañete streets.

One of the vehicles involved reportedly struck a taxi, propelling it into the front of a nearby food business. The impact caused significant damage, overturning tables, chairs, and a sign outside the establishment, which was closed at the time. Fortunately, the restaurant owner was not present when the incident occurred.

The three injured women, who are related, were transported to a nearby clinic for medical attention. Agents from the National Police of Peru (PNP) arrived at the scene to begin their investigation into the cause of the accident.

Eyewitnesses described the force of the collision, noting that the out-of-control vehicle broke through the restaurant's gate. A local resident appealed to the Municipality of Lima to install a speed bump in the area to help prevent similar accidents in the future.
