Volkswagen Taos: Price Freeze and Features Amid Strong Sales in Argentina

The Volkswagen Taos SUV is enjoying a successful start to the year in Argentina, solidifying its position as one of the best-selling SUVs. With 4913 units sold in the first five months, the model is a key player for Volkswagen, which leads the market in overall sales.

To sustain this momentum and its top sales position, Volkswagen has opted to freeze the suggested retail prices for the Taos for the current month. This strategy aims to keep the vehicle competitive in the local market. The Taos is now imported from Mexico, following the cessation of its production in Argentina to make way for the new Amarok pickup.

The updated Taos boasts a refreshed aesthetic aligned with Volkswagen's latest design language. Key exterior changes include a new visual identity with updated lighting, redesigned bumpers, grille, and alloy wheels. The rear features new taillights, a connecting LED bar, and an illuminated emblem, while the side profile remains largely unchanged.

Inside, all versions are equipped with a configurable 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch central touchscreen supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Comfort features include a wireless charger, four USB-C ports, keyless entry, dual-zone climate control, and an electrically adjustable driver's seat with lumbar support. The vehicle offers four driving modes: Normal, Sport, Eco, and Individual. Standard safety equipment includes six airbags, ABS, electronic stability control, and a rearview camera.
