Volunteers become 'Shovel Superheroes' clearing mud from Tainan Confucian Temple's Pan Pond on World Environment Day

On June 5, World Environment Day, more than 120 volunteers braved heavy rain to participate in a mud-clearing operation at the Pan Pond of the Tainan Confucian Temple. The initiative, a collaboration between the Tainan Confucian Temple Cultural Foundation and the Tainan Environmental Protection Bureau, focused on enhancing the pond's ecological health and preserving its cultural value.

Volunteers, donning protective gear, waded into the pond to remove accumulated silt and debris. The event, titled "Confucian Temple Pan Pond: Action for Ecological and Cultural Coexistence," aimed to restore the pond's natural environment while acknowledging its historical and cultural importance within the temple complex.
