Volvo's new factory in Slovakia proceeding on schedule, minister says

The construction of Volvo's new car factory near Kosice is on schedule, according to Economy Minister Denisa Saková. She stated that both Slovakia and the company have adhered to all agreed-upon timelines.

Saková noted that the plant has already hired 600 employees out of the planned 3,300. The company is offering an average salary of over 1,400 euros, surpassing the regional average. "Volvo has also struggled with whether it will have enough employees. So far, it is gradually succeeding in fulfilling this, and I hope it will reach its target of 3,300 employees with very high-quality people, and especially people who will be Slovak citizens for the most part," the minister said.
