VP Vance family to use additional Virginia residence with Secret Service security

Vice President JD Vance and his family are set to use an additional residence in Middleburg, Virginia, with the Secret Service providing security measures for the rental property. This location will supplement, not replace, their official home at the Naval Observatory in Washington.

Middleburg, located about 40 miles from the capital, is a town recognized for its equestrian activities and hunting grounds. The area has a history of hosting presidential retreats, with former President John F. Kennedy and later Ronald Reagan having connections to estates near the town.

The Vance family has already made upgrades to the official vice presidential residence, including a new fence and a chicken coop.
