Waha Oil Co. implements Powered Dump Flood Technology for first time at Waha Field

Waha Oil Company has achieved a significant technical milestone with the first-time implementation of Powered Dump Flood Technology at its Waha Field. The successful trial took place at well B-225i in the North Daffa Station, marking a new development in the company's operational strategies.

This innovative technology allows for the simultaneous integration of water injection and production processes within a single wellbore. By utilizing geological formations, it provides an effective alternative to traditional methods that require separate wells for injection operations. This advancement is a result of collaborative efforts between the Operations, Drilling, and Reservoir Engineering & Production departments.

Initial results from the trial, which was supervised by Waha's national engineers and technicians, have demonstrated tangible success. The company reports that the technology directly contributes to reducing operating costs and enhancing performance efficiency. Furthermore, it plays a crucial role in supporting reservoir pressures, thereby mitigating natural decline and ensuring more stable production rates.

Waha Oil Company plans to expand the use of this technology to similar wells in the future. This strategic move is expected to further bolster stable and increased daily production, reinforcing the company's commitment to technical innovation and operational excellence in the Libyan energy sector.
