"Wanderers in the Mountains" Documentary Embarks on National Tour After Premiere

The documentary "Hoinari prin Munți" (Wanderers in the Mountains), directed by Cosmin Dumitrache, is set to captivate audiences across Romania with a national caravan tour following a successful premiere. The film, which delves into the lives of mountain enthusiasts Dinu and Marlene Mititeanu, will be screened in Cinema City theaters nationwide starting September 11.

"Hoinari prin Munți" portrays the beauty of the mountains and how a life lived in harmony with nature can inspire presence, self-awareness, and a deeper connection to what truly matters. The story centers on Dinu and Marlene Mititeanu, a couple from Cluj for whom their passion for the mountains has become a way of life.

The film's launch included two special events. Its world premiere took place on June 15 at the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF) in Cluj-Napoca, where it received a warm reception from a full house. Dinu Mititeanu described the moment of watching the film with the audience as intensely joyful, comparing it to the feeling of reaching the Matterhorn's summit in 2016.

Following the Cluj premiere, a special outdoor gala screening was held in Bucharest on June 23. Under the stars, the event brought together cultural figures, nature lovers, and friends to experience the Mititeanus' story. The evening featured a DocTalk moderated by journalist Andreea Brașovean, with the film's protagonists, director Dumitrache, and special guests.

The national caravan will offer viewers nationwide the chance to discover this tale of love, longevity, freedom, and the profound bond between humanity and nature. The tour includes screenings in various cities such as Mălăiești, Bucharest, Sinaia, Brașov, Pitești, Ploiești, Râmnicu Vâlcea, Târgu Jiu, Drobeta-Turnu Severin, Arad, Deva, Timișoara, and Baia Mare, with dates extending into July 2026.
