Warm and windless weekend ahead for Denmark with temperatures up to 28C

Danes can look forward to a warm summer weekend, with forecasts predicting temperatures as high as 28 degrees Celsius and favorable conditions for beach visits. Meteorologist Kasper Bonde Niebe of the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI) described the upcoming weekend as dry and sunny.

It is a dry and sunny weekend we are heading into.

While most of the country will enjoy ample sunshine on Friday, western Jutland may experience some morning fog rolling in from the North Sea, along with potential sea fog along the coast. Temperatures are expected to range between 21 and 27 degrees Celsius, with light to moderate winds. Coastal areas with onshore winds might be slightly cooler.

Saturday morning will see fog in many parts of Jutland, but it is expected to lift by late morning, allowing sunshine to prevail nationwide. There's a slight chance of isolated showers in the afternoon. Temperatures will hover between 22 and 27 degrees Celsius. Sunday promises more sunshine, though the afternoon could bring scattered showers and thunderstorms, with temperatures reaching between 22 and 28 degrees Celsius. Winds are expected to be a bit brisker on Sunday.

Therefore, Saturday morning will start with fog in many places over large parts of Jutland. It will lift during the morning hours, and then there will be plenty of sun for the whole country.

Niebe noted that the warmth is returning after a cooler period, driven by heat from Central Europe. "So it looks like it will be a really nice weekend with good opportunities for outdoor activities and enjoying the warmth," he said, signaling a welcome return to summer conditions.
