The services commence with a ceremony at the U.S. Capitol Rotunda, a place reserved for distinguished public servants, before moving to Washington National Cathedral for the funeral.

Graham, known for his role as an influential dealmaker and a staunch advocate for American interventionism abroad, served in the House of Representatives and later the Senate. His career, marked by alliances with figures like John McCain and Joe Lieberman, saw him deeply involved in national security issues and bipartisan efforts.

President Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy are among the notable figures expected to attend the funeral at the National Cathedral, underscoring Graham's extensive international engagement. His sudden death on July 11, attributed to a likely aortic tear, occurred shortly after trips to a NATO summit and Ukraine. He was 71.
