WATCH: Music fraternity honours late Fantan Mojah at candlelight vigil

Jamaica's music fraternity gathered at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre in Kingston for a candlelight vigil to celebrate the life and legacy of the late reggae artist Fantan Mojah. The event, which began after 9:00 pm, saw the attendance of prominent figures like Queen Ifrica, who shared an emotional tribute recalling her last conversations with Mojah. She spoke of his health concerns, mentioning he had a pacemaker, and expressed that he would have preferred to be celebrating a birthday. Other attendees included Professor Donna Hope, dancehall artist Harry Toddler, and entertainment mogul Josef “Joe” Bogdanovich. Fantan Mojah, born Owen Moncrieffe, passed away in hospital on July 14, just weeks before his 50th birthday. Known for hits such as "Hail the King," "Rasta Got Soul," and "Corruption," his death prompted widespread tributes from the government and the entertainment sector.
