"We will definitely react": Iran's Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf warns US over Persian Gulf ceasefire breaches

Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf issued a stern warning, stating that Tehran will retaliate against what it considers "violations of the understanding" to end recent hostilities. Ghalibaf, who also serves as Iran's chief negotiator, described incidents in the Arabian Gulf as breaches of the ceasefire.

Speaking on Tuesday, Ghalibaf emphasized that dialogue with the United States is ongoing under a 14-point Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). He asserted that the MoU has already yielded tangible results, specifically citing the lifting of a naval blockade as a significant achievement. Ghalibaf described the blockade as a severe form of warfare, impacting essential supplies.

According to Ghalibaf, Iran and the U.S. are now focused on implementing the agreement. He explained that negotiations are proceeding to fulfill Article 13 of the MoU, which outlines further discussions after initial measures are implemented. Ghalibaf recalled the extensive nature of the conflict, which involved land, sea, and air dimensions, as well as internal and external threats.
