Weather: Here Is the Forecast for the Weekend

Belgium will move from variable cloud cover and mostly dry weather Saturday to warmer sunshine Sunday and Monday, before a cooler and wetter change arrives Tuesday.

Saturday will bring a chance of a brief, local shower in the north, while most areas remain dry. Clearing skies will spread during the afternoon, bringing fairly sunny conditions. Highs will reach 16 to 17°C in the Ardennes, 19°C on the coast and 20 to 22°C elsewhere.

The wind will remain light to moderate from the southwest before turning west. It will strengthen in the northern half of the country, while the coast will see moderate to fairly strong west-northwesterly winds before they ease. Saturday night will become mostly clear, although high cloud may remain. Fog could form in the Ardennes valleys, with lows of 6 to 10°C south of the Sambre-Meuse furrow, around 13°C on the coast and 10 to 12°C elsewhere.

Sunday will be sunny overall, with some high and middle cloud. A few showers could develop late in the afternoon and overnight. Highs will range from 22 to 25°C. Monday will be warmer but more unsettled, bringing sunshine, some cloud and a risk of showers, with temperatures between 23 and 28°C.

Tuesday will bring frequent cloud and periods of rain from the northwest. Highs will fall sharply to between 14 and 19°C. Winds will turn west to southwesterly, remaining moderate inland and fairly strong at the coast.
