The upcoming weekend promises a friendly start across Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, and Thuringia, with sunny skies and pleasant temperatures reaching up to 30 degrees Celsius. However, this calm is set to be short-lived as the weather takes a turn towards instability by Sunday.

According to the German Weather Service (DWD), the north of Saxony-Anhalt can expect the first showers and thunderstorms to emerge from Sunday afternoon. These weather events could bring heavy rainfall and strong gusts of wind. The southern parts of Saxony-Anhalt, along with Thuringia and Saxony, are predicted to experience rain and thunderstorms later on Sunday evening.

Temperatures will remain warm, with highs between 24 and 30 degrees Celsius. The unsettled conditions are expected to persist into the night and into Monday. Showers and thunderstorms are possible overnight, with low temperatures ranging from 14 to 16 degrees Celsius. Monday is forecast to be predominantly cloudy, with a mix of rain and isolated thunderstorms, and maximum temperatures dropping slightly to between 21 and 25 degrees Celsius.
