Weather: Weekend forecast for Southwest Germany shows typical July conditions

Baden-Württemberg can expect a weekend of typical July weather, according to the German Weather Service (DWD). Instead of extreme heat or severe thunderstorms, the region will experience mostly dry conditions with temperatures in the usual range for this time of year. A DWD spokesperson described the forecast as "typical July weather" with temperatures "all within the normal range."

Saturday is predicted to be "100 percent completely dry," offering pleasant high-pressure weather. Temperatures will hover around 24 degrees Celsius in the mountains and the Allgäu region, ideal for hiking. Along the Rhine and Neckar rivers, clear blue skies and sunshine will push temperatures to between 28 and 30 degrees Celsius. The night into Sunday is expected to be "unspectacular," with temperatures dropping to a comfortable 9 to 17 degrees Celsius, allowing for restful sleep.

Sunday, however, will see a shift as a low-pressure system passes by Baden-Württemberg. While the day begins sunny across the state, clouds are expected to increase, bringing rain or showers to northern and northeastern areas. A fresh northwesterly wind will also pick up. Temperatures will range from 24 to 30 degrees Celsius.

The start of the new week promises a return to friendly conditions. "Precipitation will subside" on Sunday night, with overnight temperatures remaining pleasant between 12 and 16 degrees Celsius. Monday is expected to be "a touch warmer," with temperatures around 26 degrees Celsius in the mountains and Allgäu, and potentially reaching up to 32 degrees Celsius in the lowlands.
