Weekend forecast: Sunny and warm across Croatia, with strong winds possible

Croatia is set for a predominantly sunny and warm weekend, with temperatures expected to reach highs between 25 and 33 degrees Celsius across the country. The Meteorological and Hydrological Service (DHMZ) forecasts clear skies for most regions, including Eastern Croatia and Central Croatia, where temperatures will hover between 26 and 30 degrees.

Coastal areas, particularly along the Adriatic, will experience moderate to strong Bura winds, with some gusts potentially reaching stormy levels. These winds are expected to gradually weaken and shift direction in the afternoons. In Istria, while mostly clear, there might be some moderate cloud cover developing later in the day. The sea conditions are described as slightly to moderately choppy.

Looking ahead to Sunday, the weather remains largely sunny, especially along the coast. However, there is a chance of brief showers, possibly accompanied by thunderstorms, developing in the interior and northern Adriatic regions from the afternoon onwards. Overnight and early morning winds along the southern Adriatic coast could be strong, but are expected to ease later in the day.
