Wei-De Biomedical opens Kaohsiung headquarters to build medical testing ecosystem

Wei-De Biomedical celebrated the opening of its new headquarters in Kaohsiung, marking a significant milestone after over 20 years in the medical testing field. The new facility integrates the company's operations, including in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) reagents and equipment distribution, medical information integration services, and laboratory testing resources. This consolidation aims to create a comprehensive medical testing ecosystem, enhancing operational efficiency and service capacity for future growth.

Company chairman Chou Kuo-chung highlighted the new headquarters as a testament to Wei-De's dedication and a launchpad for its next phase. The building's design incorporates multiple functions, with the first and second floors housing the Youpin Medical Laboratory and the third floor featuring the Jingying Health Clinic. The fourth and fifth floors are dedicated office spaces for Wei-De Biomedical and Youpin Biomedical. This multi-functional setup covers medical testing, health check-ups, and digital health applications, strengthening the company's integrated service capabilities.

With the Youpin Medical Laboratory and Jingying Health Clinic now operational within the new headquarters, Chou emphasized the formation of a complete medical testing ecosystem. He stated that this base will enable the company to further integrate medical diagnostics with digital health applications, offering more precise and convenient healthcare services to clients and the public. Wei-De Biomedical aspires to make this building a representative digital medical biotechnology hub in Kaohsiung.
