Former President Donald Trump has revealed a new commemorative U.S. passport design intended to mark America's 250th anniversary. Trump shared the design on his Truth Social platform on Friday, June 26, 2026, describing it as "The U.S.A.’s New Passport, which says, ‘Welcome, but be good!’ President DJT."

The sample passport page displayed features an image of Trump seated behind the Resolute Desk, with text from the original Declaration of Independence in the background and his signature at the bottom. The opposite page showcases John Trumbull’s painting, *The Declaration of Independence*. This design appears to incorporate a rendering of Trump's portrait from the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery, differing from earlier images released by the U.S. State Department.

The White House shared the same rendering on its official X account with the caption: "New U.S. Passport to Commemorate America’s 250th." When asked about the official status of the design, the White House directed inquiries to the State Department, which had not yet provided a comment. The limited-edition passport was initially announced in April as part of the 250th-anniversary celebrations, with descriptions indicating custom artwork and enhanced imagery on its covers. A State Department official had previously stated that this commemorative version would become the default for in-person renewals at the Washington Passport Agency, while other applications would continue to receive the existing design.
