WFP seeks $89 million to address worsening hunger affecting Nigerians

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has issued an urgent appeal for $89 million to combat a deepening hunger crisis in Nigeria. The funds are critical to sustain ongoing food and nutrition assistance for millions of vulnerable individuals, especially in the northeastern regions ravaged by conflict.
