When will KYK supplementary dorm applications open for 2026-2027?

Students who did not secure a place in the first round of Turkey’s 2026-2027 KYK dormitory placements are still waiting for the supplementary application calendar.

The Youth and Sports Ministry accepted the first dormitory applications through e-Devlet from Aug. 25 to 29, 2026, and announced the initial placement results on Sept. 8. A separate application period will follow for students left out of the first placement, as well as those admitted to universities through additional quotas and those who completed horizontal or vertical transfers.

The ministry has not yet said when supplementary KYK dormitory applications will open. It is expected to announce the dates after it identifies vacancies created by students who do not register and completes the additional university placement process. Last year’s additional-quota dormitory applications ran from Oct. 15 to 17.

Applications will be submitted through e-Devlet. Students will log in with their Turkish identification numbers and passwords, and their applications will rely on the education information recorded in the system. The article warns students to check their school and department details. Applications containing inaccurate or incomplete education information may be invalidated, and students with incorrect records should contact their university’s student affairs office to correct them.
