Wikki Tourists building squad capable of returning to NPFL — Coach

Wikki Tourists FC is determined to build a squad capable of securing an immediate return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). Bala Abubakar, the club's Technical Adviser, reaffirmed this commitment during the ongoing player assessment phase at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi.

Abubakar emphasized that every player undergoing evaluation has an equal chance to earn a spot on the team. He stressed that the final selection will prioritize individuals who demonstrate quality, commitment, and readiness for the upcoming season. The club has already played six pre-season friendly matches, winning four and losing two, providing the technical crew valuable opportunities to assess talent and strengthen the team for the Nigeria National League campaign.

"Our mission is clear: to return Wikki Tourists to the NPFL," Abubakar stated. "We know what is expected of us, and by the grace of Allah, with the support of our management, government, supporters and all stakeholders, we will achieve that goal." The technical crew remains focused on assembling a team that can make the people of Bauchi proud throughout the 2026/27 Nigeria National League season. Wikki Tourists were relegated from the NPFL and are now vying for promotion back to Nigeria's top-flight league.
