William and Kate bring children to Commonwealth Games netball and cycling events

Prince William and Princess Kate, known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay in Scotland, brought their three children to the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. The family attended the netball semi-finals, where they watched New Zealand defeat England 61-54. They later visited the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, meeting British cyclist Laura Kenny and sitting near Olympic champion Sir Chris Hoy. Prince William engaged in animated conversations with athletes during the games. Princess Catherine and Princess Charlotte also took photos with the Team Scotland netball players. The royal children, George and Charlotte, shared moments with the Games mascot, Finnie, and met volunteers. The netball finals will see Jamaica and New Zealand compete for gold, while England will play for bronze against Australia. Glasgow is hosting the tournament for the second time, stepping in after Australia's Victoria state withdrew due to rising costs. This scaled-down version of the Games awarded 215 medals across 10 sports and included a record 47 para-sports events. The opening ceremony featured King Charles and Queen Camilla, along with flags from 74 nations and territories.
