Winter holidays at Palacio Libertad: a free mega-agenda with theater, cinema, and virtual reality

Buenos Aires' Palacio Libertad is transforming into a hub of free winter entertainment with a comprehensive program running until August 2. The "Palacio Libertad" offers a diverse agenda designed for all ages, aiming to provide a rich cultural experience during the school break.

The venue's Sala Argentina will host a variety of theatrical and musical performances. Meanwhile, the Auditorio Nacional will feature major concerts by national artists and ensembles. Highlights include "Esenciales: Pipo Pescador," Hugo Figueras with the National Choir of Argentine Music, and "Las aventuras del Principito" performed by the National Band of the Blind and the National Dance School. A symphonic concert with Dúo Karma and a show inspired by Andrés Calamaro's songs, titled "Las asombrosas vacaciones de El Salmón en la playa," are also on the schedule.

Younger audiences are catered to on the third floor, which is dedicated to children's activities. This area includes creative workshops, performances, and play spaces. Additionally, "Siempre Terraza" in the Auditorio Nacional will offer children's literature, storytelling, and puppet and graphic workshops. Teenagers and young adults can explore "Fantasías inquietas," featuring interactive installations, video games, and virtual reality experiences.

The program also includes "Suiza Pop 2026," an event from July 23-26 focused on animation, video games, virtual reality, cinema, science, and children's literature. The Plaza Seca will host "Modo Juego," offering simulators, consoles, competitions, immersive experiences, and AI-related activities. Film cycles for all ages are also scheduled, alongside exhibitions like "Un edificio entre dos mundos" and "Tita Merello. La escultura en clave poética."
