With expanded activities, Dubai Sports World’s 16th edition officially opens

Dubai Sports World (DSW) has officially launched its 16th edition, marking the start of its action-packed summer season for 2026. The region's largest indoor sports and fitness destination promises a vibrant array of activities designed to keep families engaged and active throughout the summer months.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by key figures, including Mahir Julfar, EVP of Dubai World Trade Centre, and Essa Sharif, Director of Sports Events at Dubai Sports Council. Representatives from the Dubai Police and Fatima Ahmed Buhajir, Chairman of the Positive Spirit Department, were also present, highlighting the collaborative effort behind the event.

This year's edition features guest of honor Maryam Al Farsi, the first Emirati female sprinter to compete in the Olympic Games, adding an inspirational element to the opening. Organized by Dubai World Trade Centre in association with Dubai Sports Council, DSW aims to provide a comprehensive platform for sports, fitness, and family entertainment.

Running from June 19 until August 25, 2026, the 16th edition of DSW is described as bigger and better than ever, offering exciting challenges and events. The venue provides a dedicated space for the community to stay healthy and happy during the summer, reinforcing Dubai's commitment to promoting a sporting lifestyle.
