Without brothers and sisters in the fight for medals: Sinkovići, Lončarići and Jurkovićs in the B final

Croatian rowing brothers Valent and Martin Sinković will not compete for medals at the World Championships after missing out on the final in the men's double sculls. The accomplished duo finished fourth in their semifinal race in Amsterdam, placing them in the B final.

Despite their best efforts, the Sinković brothers were slower than the Dutch, Serbian, and Spanish crews in their semifinal. "We gave everything we had. We had a lot of problems during preparation, including health issues, but we won't make excuses. We will try to row as best as possible in the B final," Martin Sinković stated.

Joining the Sinković brothers in the B final will be the Jurković twins, Josipa and Ivana, and the Lončarić brothers, Patrik and Anton, in the men's pair without a coxswain. Both pairs secured sixth place in their respective semifinal races, meaning they will also compete for final placement rather than medals.

The Croatian rowing team still has a chance to reach a final, as the men's quadruple sculls crew will compete in their semifinal on Thursday. Their opponents will include crews from Poland, Australia, Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain.
