Witness claims to have pulled Defense Minister Banožić from car after fatal crash

A witness has come forward claiming to have been among the first responders at the scene of a traffic accident involving Croatian Defense Minister Mario Banožić. The witness stated that they helped extricate Banožić from his vehicle following the collision.

According to the witness's account, the truck driver who was involved in the accident was not present when they arrived at the scene. "The truck driver wasn't there, I didn't see him," the witness reportedly said, expressing surprise at the initial lack of other parties present.

While we were going home, it kept spinning in my head how the traffic accident happened in which one person died, and the police said they didn't need us, and we were the first there, and when we arrived, there was absolutely no one there.

The witness recounted that while heading home, they were preoccupied with thoughts about the accident, which resulted in one fatality. They were surprised that police were not yet at the scene, given they were the first to arrive. It was only later, after stopping for coffee, that the witness learned the minister of defense had been involved in the incident.
