Witnesses call police: Playground brawl leaves two seriously injured, one in custody

A violent altercation on a playground in Wolfsburg has resulted in serious injuries for two men and minor wounds for five others. Police apprehended three individuals in connection with the incident, with one suspect subsequently placed in pre-trial detention.

Witnesses had called the police on Saturday night to the grounds on Schulenburgallee.

Witnesses alerted the police to the scene on Schulenburgallee during the night, reporting a dispute behind a gas station. Upon arrival, officers found eight individuals involved in the fight. All injured parties were transported to a local hospital for treatment. A 25-year-old and a 21-year-old required inpatient care due to the severity of their injuries.

Two men were seriously injured and five other people slightly injured in a fight between two groups on a playground in Wolfsburg.

Authorities ordered pre-trial detention for a 26-year-old suspect, who has been transferred to a correctional facility. The Braunschweig public prosecutor's office requested the detention. Two other suspects, aged 21 and 32, were released after police completed their initial procedures.
