"Wlad Medina" Festival Enlivens Larache

The city of Larache in Morocco is gearing up to host the fourth edition of the "Wlad Medina" festival, a vibrant cultural event organized by the Future Train Association. Scheduled from July 28 to August 1, the festival will unfold under the theme "Larache... A Living Memory and Endless Creativity." This initiative, supported by the local municipal council and in partnership with the city's cultural center, has become an anticipated annual gathering for art enthusiasts.

Organizers stated that this artistic and cultural event has cemented its place in Larache's cultural calendar, building on the success of previous editions. The festival's core mission is to embrace local and national talents, foster creativity, invigorate cultural life, and enhance the city's presence in the Moroccan art scene. The fourth edition aims to solidify the festival's role as a platform for cultural advocacy and a celebration of Larache's prominent figures and talents across cultural, sports, and social fields.

The five-day program is rich with activities, commencing on Tuesday, July 28, with an intellectual seminar on "Youth and Artistic and Cultural Industries." Workshops in drawing, photography, cinema, and artistic animation will follow on Wednesday, July 29. The artistic evenings begin on Thursday, July 30, featuring a performance by the "Nessim Al Ibdaa" choir, specializing in religious praise and listening, led by artist Mohamed Ben Kiran.

Friday, July 31, is dedicated to a heritage night with performances by "Nawars" and "Al Nassaim" groups, alongside a special artistic segment by Ibrahim El Ouali. The festival will conclude on Saturday, August 1, with a closing artistic evening celebrating young talents. This final night will showcase performances by young artist Nezar, the band Alen et Atlantico, the group "Bula Bula," and the "Coral Lissa" ensemble. Free invitations for the artistic evenings will be distributed after the opening seminar.
