Woman arrested for drug-impaired driving after Seoul crash

A woman in her 40s was arrested in Seoul on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs after causing a minor traffic accident. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning when the suspect, identified as Ms. A, collided with another vehicle near the Isu Station intersection in Seocho District.

According to police reports, Ms. A exhibited signs of impairment, including unsteady movement and incoherent speech, prompting officers to search her vehicle. During the search, authorities discovered a significant quantity of pre-portioned illegal drugs and psychotropic medications.

Ms. A subsequently tested positive for drug use in a preliminary field test. Police have taken her into custody and are currently investigating the origins of the narcotics and psychotropic substances found in her possession. Authorities are also considering applying for an arrest warrant.
