Woman dead, multiple injuries reported following three-vehicle crash on Rose Hall main road

A fatal accident on the Rose Hall main road in St. James, Jamaica, claimed the life of 22-year-old Bianca Wallace on Monday. Wallace, who was reportedly employed on a project along the road, was struck and dragged by a vehicle while standing beside a tractor that was involved in the incident.

The collision involved three vehicles: a Toyota Hiace motor bus, a Toyota Rush, and the tractor. Reports indicate that the bus crashed into the tractor, subsequently hitting the Toyota Rush, and it was during this sequence that Wallace was struck. She later succumbed to her injuries.

Several other individuals sustained injuries in the crash, including two female students who were traveling in the motor bus. The injured have been transported to the hospital, though their current conditions are unknown. Emergency services, including teams from the Jamaica Fire Brigade and the Jamaica Constabulary Force, were on the scene.

The incident caused significant traffic disruptions, with police forced to redirect traffic to manage the congestion on the dual carriageway due to a lane closure.
