Woman who fell from Choji Bridge found dead two days after report

Authorities have confirmed the death of a woman in her 40s who fell from the Choji Bridge, a vital link between Incheon's Ganghwado Island and Gimpo. Her body was recovered two days after her husband reported her fall from the structure.

The Incheon Maritime Police Service received a report on the afternoon of the 26th concerning a body found in the waters near Gapgotdondae, Ganghwa-eup, Ganghwado Island. Following an investigation, including fingerprint analysis, the deceased was identified as the individual who had fallen from the Choji Bridge on the 24th.

Maritime Police had initiated a search operation after receiving the initial report from the woman's husband. A spokesperson for the Coast Guard stated that no evidence of foul play or criminal suspicion was found on the body. The circumstances surrounding the fall remain under investigation, though initial findings suggest it was not a result of criminal activity.
