Worker Killed in Tragic Funfair Accident in Amasya, Turkey

A fatal accident at a funfair in Amasya, Turkey, has resulted in the death of a worker after he was struck by a moving ride. The incident occurred on June 6 at Hakimiyet Park in the Hızırpaşa neighborhood.

The victim, identified as Burak Kırıkçı, who was employed at the funfair, was reportedly near the 'ranger' amusement ride. As the vehicle approached, Kırıkçı, who had stepped down onto the vehicle's steps, was struck by the operator's cabin.

Emergency services were dispatched to the scene. Kırıkçı was rushed to Amasya Sabuncuoğlu Şerefeddin Training and Research Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries despite all medical efforts.

Following the incident, the funfair was sealed off, and both judicial and administrative investigations were launched. As part of the investigation, the company owner, identified as F.C., and the operational manager, H.N.E., were taken into custody. They were later presented before a court and subsequently arrested.

Security camera footage that emerged 10 days after the accident captured the moment of impact. The video shows Kırıkçı descending the steps of the operator's cabin when the moving ranger vehicle collided with him, causing him to fall to the ground. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
