Workers' Party unveils lineup of top decision-making body; Harpreet Singh joins Central Executive Committee

Singapore's Workers' Party (WP) has announced the composition of its new Central Executive Committee (CEC) after its first meeting on July 7. The party's top decision-making body sees several key appointments and reappointments, maintaining its core leadership.

Lawyer Harpreet Singh Nehal, who previously contested the General Elections in Punggol GRC, has been appointed as a member of the CEC. Additionally, the WP has co-opted two members into the CEC: Fadli Fawzi, Member of Parliament for Aljunied GRC, and Andre Low, a Non-Constituency Member of Parliament.

Key leadership roles have been confirmed, with Muhamad Faisal Abdul Manap continuing as vice-chair. Kenneth Tiong takes over as treasurer from He Ting Ru. Jamus Lim, formerly the deputy head of policy research, now leads the policy research department. Veteran politician Low Thia Khiang remains a committee member.

The CEC continues to be led by Secretary-General Pritam Singh and Chairperson Sylvia Lim, both of whom retained their posts at the party's June cadre members' conference. The party expressed confidence in the newly formed team, stating their commitment to serving constituents and advancing Singapore's interests.
