A man in Taichung, Taiwan, known as "Paul," has fulfilled a bold bet by running naked through the city's Zhonggang Road after his favored team, Norway, was eliminated from the World Cup qualifiers. Norway lost to England in extra time, failing to advance to the final four.

Paul had publicly declared on the social media platform Threads that if Norway did not qualify, he would run naked through Zhonggang Road. His post garnered nearly a thousand likes and hundreds of comments. However, his account was soon suspended by Threads, possibly due to the explicit nature of his wager. Undeterred, Paul created a new account to reaffirm his commitment, stating, "I keep my word."

Following Norway's defeat, Paul honored his promise in the early hours of Friday, running clad only in black shorts and a helmet. A friend accompanied him, filming and live-streaming the event. Despite the late hour and the unusual spectacle, only four people commented on the stream, with one questioning if the visible lower garment was indeed shorts or underwear. Paul lamented the low viewership but asserted that his attire did not violate public indecency laws. He also expressed his continued enthusiasm for gambling, boldly predicting that France would win the World Cup.
