World Nomad Games Prize Fund to Exceed 61 Million Som

Kyrgyzstan is preparing to host the 6th World Nomad Games from August 31 to September 6, 2026, with a significant prize fund and a substantial budget allocated for the event. The total prize money for the games will surpass 61 million Kyrgyz som, according to Ulukbek Omurbekov, head of the Directorate for National Sports.

The state has committed 336 million som from the national budget to organize and stage the international competition. Of this amount, 334.2 million som is earmarked for the sports program. This funding will cover participant accommodation and catering, sports equipment, athlete training, and the organization of selection tournaments and training camps.

Under the slogan "Strength in Unity! Spirit in Unity!," the 6th World Nomad Games will showcase 43 sports, including 20 national disciplines. The event, which is held biennially, is anticipated to attract over 3,000 athletes from more than 100 countries. Competitions will include national wrestling, horse racing, and archery. The first World Nomad Games were held in 2014.
