Wu Poh-hsiung Visits Liver Foundation to Report Well-being After Accidental Fall

Former Kuomintang Chairman Wu Poh-hsiung, 88, has reassured the public of his good health following an accidental fall at an event. The incident occurred on August 15th as he was about to deliver a speech at the Liver Research Foundation's 32nd-anniversary celebration.

While the fall caused a stir among attendees, Wu Poh-hsiung personally visited the Liver Research Foundation on August 17th to report his well-being. He expressed his gratitude to the nurse who assisted him immediately after the fall and thanked everyone for their concern and well wishes.

During his visit, Wu praised the foundation's 32 years of dedicated efforts in liver disease prevention, health education, and screening in underserved areas. He encouraged the foundation to continue its mission of safeguarding the liver health of the nation's citizens. The foundation's chairman, Hsu Chin-chuan, expressed his deep emotion and relief at seeing Wu in good spirits, highlighting the staff's prompt and compassionate response.
