X sets final Revenue Sharing payout for September 11

X is ending its Revenue Sharing program, with the final payout scheduled for Friday, Sept. 11. The platform announced the date through its official X Creators account and urged eligible creators to apply for the replacement Original Content Rewards program in Creator Studio.

Creators who participated in Revenue Sharing and are approved for the new scheme will receive their first Original Content Rewards payment on Sept. 25, two weeks after the final payout under the old system.

X announced the change in August, saying the new program would reward original ideas, expertise, reporting, creativity and commentary. Allegra Jacchia, the company’s product manager focused on creators, said the incentives in Revenue Sharing had become misaligned.

She added that X could have continued modifying the old system with more rules and exceptions, but chose to start over.
