Xindian Ande Public Urban Renewal Project Integration Reaches 96%, Public Review Open Until August 31

New Taipei City's Xindian Ande Public Urban Renewal Project is moving forward, with integration of private land ownership reaching an impressive 96%. The project, spearheaded by the National Housing and Urban Regeneration Center, focuses on a 6,530-square-meter site in the Xindian District.

The initiative aims to revitalize the area, which includes a core commercial district near Ankang Road. The location is well-served by public transport, including the Ankang Light Rail, and is close to amenities like hospitals, schools, and parks. Some existing structures on the site were damaged by the April 3rd earthquake, highlighting the need for improved building safety and living conditions.

The redevelopment plan includes incorporating commercial spaces along Ande Street to maintain existing business vitality. Design elements like street-level setbacks, open spaces, and corner plazas will enhance pedestrian flow and convenience, creating a safer and more livable community with integrated residential, commercial, and recreational functions.

With a strong foundation of private landowner participation, the project is now open for public review of its investment solicitation documents until August 31st. The estimated investment for the entire project is approximately 2.8 billion NT dollars (about $87 million USD).
