The Zhonggang Canal light show exhibition in Xinzhuang, New Taipei City, has garnered international acclaim, securing three prestigious design awards: a gold medal in lighting design at the Tokyo Design Awards, a gold medal in concept design at the London Design Awards, and a silver medal in lighting design at the TITAN Innovation Awards.

This year's Zhonggang Canal light show exhibition has won three international honors from the Tokyo Design Awards, London Design Awards, and TITAN Innovation Awards, which is the greatest affirmation for the municipal government team and the design and construction team.

The exhibition, now in its sixth year and themed 'Starry Xinzhuang, Dreamy Star River,' transformed nearly a kilometer of the canal into a "dreamy star river" using 3 million LED lights. This year's event attracted a record-breaking 960,000 visitors, underscoring its popularity as a major annual event for the region.

New Taipei City's Water Resources Bureau Director Song Der-ren presented the awards at a municipal meeting, emphasizing the recognition as a testament to the hard work of the city's teams and the design and construction crews. He highlighted the meticulous effort invested in every stage, from conceptualization to execution, to create an artistic and water-feature-rich display within the canal's limited space.
