‘Xtream Energy Drink Presents National Music Awards’ happening on July 10

Radio Kantipur is set to host its eighth annual Xtream Energy Drink National Music Awards on Friday, July 10, at The Plaza Convention Centre in Pulchowk, Kathmandu. The event coincides with the radio station's 28th anniversary and aims to celebrate and foster the growth of Nepal's music industry.

Organizers announced that the awards ceremony will feature 14 distinct categories. Additionally, two special awards will be presented: the Lifetime Achievement Award, which includes a cash prize of Rs 0.1 million for a veteran artist, and the 'Xtreme Energetic Performer of the Year' award. A People's Choice Award will also be given, allowing viewers to vote for their favorite musicians via the eSewa mobile app.

Songs released between April 14, 2025, and April of this year were eligible for nomination. The event promises a vibrant lineup of performances from prominent Nepali artists, including John and The Locals, Deepak Bajracharya and Rhythm, Ujan Shakya, and Mantra Band, among others. The entire ceremony will be live-streamed across all Kantipur Media Group platforms, and tickets are available for purchase online.
