Yehliu Geopark Offers Free Entry to Local Students for Educational Event

Yehliu Geopark, renowned for its unique geological landscapes, is launching a special initiative to connect with local communities. Elementary school students from the Wanli District of New Taipei City, as well as Zhongshan, Zhongzheng, and Anle districts in Keelung, will be granted free entry to the park.

The "Thousands of Hands to Yehliu - The Mysterious Magic Stone" event is designed to help students appreciate their local heritage and encourage them to protect the North Coast. This program signifies the geopark's commitment to community engagement and environmental education.

Participation is capped at 1,000 students. Interested schools can contact the Yehliu Geopark planning department for details. Each session lasts two hours, with morning and afternoon slots available. The program requires a minimum of 20 students per group and is strictly for educational purposes, allowing only one entry per participant. Teachers receive one free spot for every 20 students; additional teachers will be charged standard admission fees. The initiative does not cover travel expenses or accident insurance.
