Yellow-Clad Runners Flock to GBK, Enthusiastically Participate in Yellow Run 2026

Thousands of runners, predominantly clad in yellow, converged on the Plaza Parkir Timur Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) in Senayan, Jakarta, on Sunday for the Yellow Run 2026. The event saw the race village bustling with participants from early morning, with many either having just finished the race or queuing for various brand activations and installations set up by the organizers.

Around 8:00 AM WIB, the area was alive with participants flocking to yellow-themed photo spots and installations, which have become a hallmark of the event. Popular locations like the "Yellow Story" and "Yellow Run 2026" installations attracted long queues of runners eager to capture memories after their race. The atmosphere in the race village was vibrant, with runners resting, documenting their finisher moments, and anticipating further entertainment on the main stage. Many participants proudly wore the official yellow jersey provided by the organizers.

There's the Yellow Run. I got an invitation from friends at Golkar. So today we try running again, it's been a while since I ran. It feels great because the race management is quite good.

Yellow Run 2026, held within the GBK complex, aimed to attract 10,000 participants across two categories: a 5-kilometer and a 10-kilometer race. The course was designed with a relatively flat profile to facilitate runners in achieving their personal best times. The race village opened early at 3:30 AM WIB, with the 10K category starting at 5:10 AM and the 5K category following at 5:30 AM.

Following the races, participants engaged in a series of post-race activities, including DJ performances, award ceremonies for both categories, prize drawings, and live music entertainment that continued until late morning. One participant, Vibi, shared her positive experience, noting the event's good race management despite her long hiatus from running. She completed the 10K in approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. The event also saw the presence of several public figures and officials as guests and participants.
