Yemeni Prime Minister Meets SDRPY Director in Aden

Yemeni Prime Minister Dr. Shaya Zindani met with Eng. Ahmed Madkhali, the director of the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) office in Aden on Tuesday. Zindani praised Saudi Arabia's support for Yemen, highlighting SDRPY as a key partner in the nation's development and economic recovery.

Madkhali presented the SDRPY's ongoing projects in Aden and other Yemeni governorates. A significant contribution includes providing oil derivatives from Saudi Arabia to power more than 70 electricity generation plants throughout Yemen. This initiative aims to bolster the country's energy infrastructure.

Since its inception, SDRPY has completed or initiated 300 development projects and programs. These initiatives span eight critical sectors: education, health, transport, water, energy, agriculture and fisheries, broader development programs, and capacity building for government institutions. The program's extensive work underscores Saudi Arabia's commitment to Yemen's reconstruction and stability.
