YENİ Parti spokesperson announces party membership numbers: How many municipalities joined?

YENİ Parti spokesperson Zeynel Emre announced on Tuesday that the party's membership has now exceeded 300,000.

During a press conference at the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Emre shared the party's current figures, also revealing that 236 municipalities have joined YENİ Parti. He expressed confidence that this number would rise to 300.

Emre also addressed the recent move of Menderes Municipality, which switched to the ruling AKP party following a council vote. He characterized this as evidence of an agreement within the Cumhur İttifak, stating, "Anyone who knows, reads, and understands politics can easily see there is an agreement between them. They are progressing as part of the Cumhur İttifak."

He pointed to a similar situation in Etimesgut, where council members serving in the CHP party voted for the AKP candidate, leading to Menderes Municipality joining the ruling alliance along with the MHP.
