Yeon Sang-ho's New Film 'Nichol Paradise' Invited to Toronto Film Festival, Korean Release Set for October

Director Yeon Sang-ho's latest film, 'Nichol Paradise,' will screen at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival, marking his second consecutive year at the event. The film received an official invitation to the Special Presentations section, a highlight of the festival showcasing new works from acclaimed directors.

'Nichol Paradise' is a psychological thriller inspired by the novel 'Black Inferno.' It tells the story of Ryu So-young, a mother who lost her son nine years ago in a camping school bus disappearance. Her life takes a dramatic turn when her son, Ryu Seon-woo, who she believed was dead, miraculously returns.

This invitation follows Yeon's previous film, 'The Sinkhole,' which was also selected for the Special Presentations at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival. Additionally, Yeon's film 'The Bequeathed' was invited to the Midnight Screenings section at the 79th Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. 'Nichol Paradise' is set to be released in South Korea in October.
