Yeouinaru Station to Skip Trains as Seoul Fireworks Festival Brings Road Closures

Seoul will impose extensive traffic controls around Yeouido for the Seoul World Fireworks Festival, with trains skipping the area’s busiest station for three hours.

Yeouinaru Station on subway Line 5 will operate without stops from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., when crowds are expected to be at their largest. Visitors heading to the fireworks will need to use nearby stations instead.

Police will also completely close vehicle access to Yeouidong-ro, between the southern end of Mapo Bridge and the 63 Building, from 3 p.m. until midnight. Wonhyo Bridge will be closed in both directions from 9 a.m. on the event day until 3 a.m. on the following day for preparations and dismantling.

Access at six locations, including Yeouinaru-ro, will be limited to nearby apartment residents and event vehicles. Traffic management will continue after the fireworks as spectators leave the area at once, with particular attention focused on Yeouinaru-ro and nearby roads.
