'Yes or no': CJP seeks clarity on Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation from government

The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) is demanding a definitive response from the government concerning the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan amid the NEET-UG exam paper leak controversy. The CJP has stated it will adopt a 'tough stance' if the Centre fails to clarify its position on the matter.

CJP representatives met with Union ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh on Friday. Spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka described the meeting as productive regarding compensation and legal measures, with an in-principle agreement reached. However, Ranka noted that the government had not communicated any decision on the CJP's primary demand: Pradhan's resignation.

Yesterday's meeting yielded a positive response regarding compensation and legal matters, reaching an in-principle agreement. We hope to receive that written agreement today. However, no concrete decision has been made regarding our main demand- Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation.

"Mainstream media reports suggest sources are saying Pradhan will not step down. If he does not resign, the government should state it clearly, as there is no point in continuing these meetings. We will then decide on our next steps... If the government continues this approach, we will be forced to take a tough stance," Ranka told news agency ANI.

The CJP awaits a clear 'yes or no' answer on Pradhan's resignation, emphasizing that there is limited scope for further deliberation on this specific demand. The party also commented on the National Testing Agency's decision to remove 47 officials, stating that such actions do not address ministerial accountability, which they believe ultimately rests with the Education Minister.

Future actions by the CJP will depend on the Centre's official clarification of its stance on Pradhan's resignation. Further talks with the Centre are scheduled.
