YÖKDİL/2 Exam Scheduled for August 9; Details on Timing and Duration Released

Thousands of candidates are awaiting details about the 2026 YÖKDİL/2 exam, specifically its start and end times. The Higher Education Institutions Foreign Language Exam (YÖKDİL/2) is scheduled for Sunday, August 9.

The exam will commence at 10:15 AM. According to the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), the exam will be administered across 81 provinces at 87 examination centers, utilizing 300 buildings and 4,165 halls. The test, consisting of multiple-choice questions, will cover vocabulary, grammar, translation, and reading comprehension. Candidates will face a total of 80 questions.

The examination is set to conclude at 1:15 PM. Candidates approved for extra time will receive an additional 30 minutes. The results of the YÖKDİL/2 exam are scheduled for release on August 26. These results can be used to document the fulfillment of foreign language requirements by the Higher Education Council, its institutions, and other accredited bodies. The exam's validity period is five years from the date of the exam for postgraduate education and foreign language preparatory exemptions, and it is permanently valid for lecturer positions and associate professorship applications.
