Youngest Korean Women's World Cup Player Phair Joins Dutch Club Feyenoord

Casey Eugene Phair, the youngest player to ever compete for South Korea in a Women's World Cup, is embarking on a new chapter in her football career after signing with Dutch Eredivisie club Feyenoord's women's team. The club announced the signing on its official website, confirming a contract that runs until June 2029.

Phair, who was born to an American father and a Korean mother, made her debut for the South Korean senior national team at the age of 16. She subsequently set a record as the youngest player to participate in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup held in Australia and New Zealand. Notably, her inclusion in the squad created a record for the largest age difference between teammates in Women's World Cup history, with a gap of over 22 years separating her from veteran goalkeeper Kim Jung-mi.

Since her World Cup debut, Phair has remained a consistent presence in the national team setup. The 19-year-old forward has accumulated 24 senior international caps for South Korea, scoring five goals during that period. Her move to Feyenoord marks a significant step in her development as a professional player.
